Hi m8, you'll have everyone on here slagging this and that tyre off . It all comes down to what you want from a tyre ie: better grip in wet or dry, and of course budget. Remember the more grip basically means softer compound which means more wear. I had Bridgestones on my 05WRX when I bought it, came as standard and to be honest didn't trust them at all, had the car off the road twice in moderate conditions. Changed them for Perelli P Zero Neros which I had on my Celica T-Sport prior to the Scoob. I find that these stick to the road like velcro even in the wettest conditions and up here in Inverness thats most days.

just changed mine to Michelin ps2 great in the wet, probably the best IMHO
having had toyos tis and r, GoodyearsGD3 and the standard bridgstones fitted to the 03 impreza, and of course the Mighty and I believe now the best dry Tyre by far the Potenza REO70.

Costco's are doing a good deal just paid £363 fitted for four 235 x 45x 17
only for about another week or two I believe.

Hope that helps some.

Your best options are Michie Playstation 2s, Goodyear F1s and Toyo T1Rs.

All are great in the wet.

I rate the Bridgestones.. wet or dry. If they do start to slip, i have found them very progressive.. and very communicative about whats going on.

Your call, but i dont think you can beat the Bridgestones for 90% of the UK conditions.

Jezus you would think these cars were summat special, what oil should I put in it? what petrol should I put in it, what tyres should I put on it?

Put the tyres that you can afford on it !! simple as that.

I've got Michelin Pilot Sport 2's on mine.

Best tyre you can buy IMHO.

My opinion......

Michilen Pilot sport 2 - Fantastic but expensive

Toyo T1R - Hard wearing but good grip

Goodyear Eagle F1's - Softer tyre but slightly better grip than toyos.

Dont ever get - Kuhmo 711 or 712, worst tyre I have ever tried and dangerously low grip.
