Hot brakes making cracking noises
On the few occasions where I have given the brakes a hard time, they have made cracking, tinking noises similar to that heard from a hot exhaust, but louder. This was noticed when the car was parked up after a spirited drive.
The last time I could actually hear the noise whilst still driving, when the speed had returned to normal.
Is this normal for upgraded high performace ally calipers, ally bells and steel grooved rotors ?
