I got a pair of 215/45/R17's for my 2002 Bug Eye WRX saloon about 3 months ago and whilst the grip is fine, they are a bit noisy.....
The nearest example to give you a clue is when you've got an estate car and you fold the rear seats down and then you drive it - you always notice the increased tyre noise at the back - well they sound a bit like that all the time.
They are OK, but I will probably avoid getting them in the future if there are other alternatives at the same price bracket.
