Brake problem
I'm having a problem with my brakes, if i turn a corner or reverse with any lock on the steering the brake pedal travel is quite long the the first time i press it, on the second press the pedal returns to normal, and stays at the normal amount of travel until i corner or reverse into a parking space ect.
My first thought was its a wheel bearing problem causing pad knock off, but after jacking up the car there is no play in any of the bearings, i have replaced the front bearings and hub flanges anyway to no effect as the problem is still there.
My car is a my02 sti with the gold brembos, it is fitted with new ebc drilled/grooved and vented discs and mintex 1155 pads allround, i also have goodridge braided hoses and new motul fluid.
Could the rear bearings be causing my problem even if there is no noticable movment in them ?
Any thoughts would be a great help.

If you pull the handbrake up a couple of notches (but not so tight it wont move) then that'll add a lot of support to the rear wheel bearings. If it still does it then it's not the rear wheel bearings.
