The saga of cracking 18" tyres on my P1 is now entering the third month despite many phone calls to the supplying dealer and Prodrive only to be told that Pirelli are remanufacturing.Prodrive/Mike woods state that no other tyre will fit without rubbing. The tyres are under a year old and have only done 3,000 miles. After all the previous posts on this subject someone must have a definative answer or some news.......HELP

I had a very similiar problem on my P1 after 6k miles on all four tyres. I took the car to a local performance tyre dealer and got all four tyres changed for 4 225/35 18 Bridgestone SO2's Pole Positions, they cost £700 quid. I then took the four old Pirelli tyres to my supplying dealer and asked politely for them to cover the cost of my new tyres.( There was no way that I was driving a high performance vehicle with knackered tyres, I do 500 miles per week on average)
A quick call to IM & Pirelli and the tyres were on the way back to Pirelli and 7 days later a cheque for the full amount arrived through the post.
The supplying dealer were great, however I do think that if I hadn't taken the action I did and called them first I might not have got the result that I did.
A quick mention of the Trading Standards might work as well.

PS The Bridgestones are a class tyre, miles better than the Pirelli's and married to Powerstations Bumpsteer mod have made a real difference to the handling of my P1.
