Does anyone know if this is possible?

The dealer is saying"you have to buy Pirellis from me as nothing else fits"

The wheels are Pirelli P0s, 225x35zr18 - exactly the same size as the bridgestone!

Help!

They will rub on the rear lip (even with the protective rubber strip removed).

They're very wide compared to the PZero in the same width...and they've got a big chunky lip on them.

I'd go for 215/35 Proxes instead, lovely tire, no problems.

I have just fitted 4 x SO2's and have had no problem with rubbing.

So far, feel better than the Pirelli's, originally fitted.

I've got yoko avs tyres, 225/35/18 and have had no problems, these were fitted by the dealer not sure about bridgestones but I have been told by a tyre company that they will be ok.

Afraid that it sounds like your dealer is quoting the 'offical subaru/prodrive' line that nothing else will do except pirellis
dont believe them.

cheers simon

Errm, dudes, I have 2 mates with the said tire/wheel combo - BOTH have rubbing on the rear lip with the S02.

It's nothing to argue about really, they rub when the car is driven hard, it's as simple as that.
The PZeros are cutting it awfully close on the rear lip as well.

Exclamation

I have a feeling that SecretAgentMan is correct. I have read the many topics on this and heard Prodrives answer. On inspection of a P1 with 18" alloys at my local dealer on Friday, I noticed there was no rubber protection lip on the rear arches. Is this part of the 18" upgrade kit so there is no fouling/rubbing?

Yep, the rubber lip needs to be removed, otherwise the PZeros will rub as well.

I ahve arranged to buy some rather special 18 inch wheels for the 22B.

Lets just say its gonna look very wrc in smooth tarmac trim esque.

Do I want 235 or 225 35 18s?

If so, who knows where I can get these cheap.

18X8" wheels Adam? Figure you are gonna want 225 rubber for a good fit. Elite in Dagenham are generally good, prices always very close to Tyres Northampton's (who are also very good, but methinks a little out of your way). What kinda offset the Oz's? Mine are et45 fyg.
