Gotta get meself some new boots all round. What's your verdict Toyo Proxy T1-R or Eagle F1's I hear that the T1-S's have softer sidewals and are a nightmare and twitchy on moist roads.

Never heard of them any good.
Was also looking at Stunner Scudos as well. Mate has them on his caterham I was mighty impressed wth the grip on a track day at Brands, though they did go of after about 20 laps of hard driving

Getting the Toyo Proxy T1-Ss fitted next Saturday - £350 for 214/40x17 in each corner from Black Circles. They're the same as I have now and I like them a lot so am not going to risk anything else.

P ZERO's got 0 out of 10 from me in wet. They were the first and came with the car.....got changed within a week.
Will look into these.
Cheers
James like I say the R has a better write up than the S as they have a reinforced sidewall.

I made my decision based on comments here on SN, other boards, and my own experiences.
I've used Eagle F1 rubber on my MR2 Turbo which although is excellent for grip, quite possibly a bit too soft and will wear a tad too quickly for my liking. Another choice was the Avon ZZ3 but I think wet weather is their Achilles heel - my wife has them on her MY01 WRX.
For reference, Black Circles has some interesting info on brands of tyres... and here's a link to the Toyo section;

It's all a bit of trial and error though to be honest.
Jonts.

The Vredstein ones came top of the shop - I will certainly check them out when I have to change!
