Default Mintex pads

Are they any good and would they damage standard discs??

Thats what disc and pads do, they rub each other and wear down. I think you mean the different compounds. 1144 are for more general use/ sporty driving, 1155 are race type pads and are better suited to quick driving, but they also work fine for road use, as long as you warm them up when first drive. Also 1155 tend to squeal when lightly braking. I do like the 1155 pads and will changing back to them once my pads that I have now have worn down.

i've gone through 2 sets of the mintex racing pads and my disc's are shot at now.
when i mentioned to a few people they all say them mintex are too harsh and ruin discs. bit late now init....
i dunno but its now gonna cost me £500 to replace the 330mm prodrive discs and get some decent pads. DS2500 prob

I tried these and got nearly half way through the pads and the noise from them drove me mad. Binned them and went with EBC.

dont the ebc get to hot tho and warp the disc??

I use the Ferrodo DS2500, they're excellent. Came with the AP Racing kit, there must be a good reason why they're supplied with the AP Racing stuff.

Good pad's mate, 1144 are really good for road use, I think the disks warping is due to not letting them heat up gradually before abusing them and not l;etting them cool properly, should be fine with standard disks.
