Default Tyre Wear Question

Rear offside has worn badly on the inside which i thought meant the tracking was out but on looking a bit closer today it's only worn part way round the tyre (about a third) and the rest is okay. I went this afternoon to the local tyre apprentice who said the tracking is out but if that was the case i thought all the tread would be wearing.

Any thoughts
thanks in advance

Fault with the tyre?

Have you tried getting someone to follow you to see if there's any wobble in the wheel?
