Default Perfect MY05 STI Wheel/Tyre Package??

Hiya,

I am thinking of changing the original RE070's as they are not really suited to the ruts in the roads around my area and from reading here it seems that these tyres tramline in the wet a bit. Is tramlining a trait of the tyres or the car??
I am either going to change the 17 inch tyres or go to 18's and change the wheels and tyres. I'm undecided. Which seems the better option taking cost out of the equation for a very brief moment lol..

Would the car handle best on 18's with different rubber or will I just stick with the 17's and different rubber?

What are the best tyres to get that will eliminate tramlining?

What 18 inch wheels are available for the MY05 version and any pics would be great.

Cheers.

I'm using Prodrive PFF7's with Pirelli P-Zero Rosso's(235/40 18Z 95Y)

Look great,no tramlining.

Don't know too much about grip level's or wear rate as they've only just gone on.

PS Changed from standard 17's and RE070's on MY05STI+PPP

There are a couple of reasons cars tramline, 1 is because the tyres usually have a coating on them (well bridgestones seem to) but once you have worn this off they become ok
On my second set of RE070's now, first set were horrible when new, plus it was wet when i picked the car up, then they went ok after 1-2k, second set been on less than 1k, no tramlining
Also have a look and see what your tyre pressures are.

Cheers lads,
There is currently 3k up on it and they do tramline a bit which can be a bit uncomfortable on some roads. What pressue seems about right for this car??

Could I possibly go with a narrower tyre if I did change to a different tyre?
Cheers.

1.9 bar rear, 2.3 bar front, about 28psi and 33psi respectively.
