Default wide wheels question

hi there,
ive got a 94 classic impreza and ive found some wheels that i really like......but im not sure they will fit.
they are 17" but they are 9" wide.......with an offset of 50
would these fit on without any modifications needed?
also......any idea of the best tyre size for em? 245/40? 245/45?
thanks.

no way will they fit.

You would struggle to get them on a 22B which takes 8.5 inch wheels as standard running 235 40 17s.

I doubt they would fit without modding the rear arches. The offset is ok, its the 9" wide part of the alloy that will cause you problems as well as the 245 tyre choice.
The widest tyre I have seen on a classic is 225/45/17.
