im doing the same thing - fitting bugeye wheels on a classic - i think they look real nice just need to decide what colour to have them sorayed before i stick em on a black car - apparently might need spacers for the rear... thats all that ive heard on this but a guy called nardoblu or somthing on this has done it to his n they look well nice. best bit - oem wheels!

check nardoblue's pics halfway down the first page - nice n simple. so im guessing they must fit as the evidence is right infront of us..

I had MY01 WRX wheels on my 94 WRX Wagon (Saw them on Dyney's car and thought I'd nick his idea lol), they fitted with no problems at all, no need for spacers

Yes new age WRX wheels will fit on a classic (see my first reply)
I was one of the first to try it about 4 years ago and haven't had any problems
New age STI wheels are wider so the std tyres can rub on the rear shock unless you fit a spacer (think it needs to be about 3mm???) If you fit too bigger spacer the tyre will rub on the inside of the wing!!
Fitting 215 pofile tyres will sort it though
