Help ..... still getting brake judder!
Can anyone suggest any last minute checks before I go and take my scoob in to a garage and get had for loads of money on a simple fix ?
I'm getting fairly major brake judder on my 95MY WRX Wagon and have done the following with no resolution:
New front discs - standard
New front pads - EBC Red Stuff
Checked calipers - working fine
Wheel balance - done and fine
Tracking - done and fine
What else could there be that could cause it ??
Thanks in advance guys.

did you clean off the hub face before fitting the discs , any crap in there and the discs cant sit flat , if so it can only be a warped hub , if this is running out so will your new discs

Discs are as clean as nuns £$%^£er so i don't think its disc deposits.
How does one pravoke a hub into getting warped?....... never heard of that before.
Cheers guys.

More chance of there being uneven rust on the hub not allowing the disc to sit flat.
Did you have judder on the last set too?
PS That stoptech stuff is a good read, could be worth it. Daz

Its obviously been doing this before you started replacing the parts, so if there has been no change at all then it cant be those items at fault.
1) has the car been kerbed with or without your knowledge...bent wheel
2) tyre damaged
3) bearings or bushes on front wheels/suspension
4) steering rack and ends are they ok ..no play
5) if none of the above you may have been unlucky and pick up a new warped disc, unlikley but even so its possible.
i know the above sound a bit basic but its clutching a straws time powerman

Check the rear disks and pads. I was getting really bad judder and could have sworn it was the fronts that were causing the problem. Turns out one of the rear disks was out of true. New disks and pads cured the problem.
