Default Replacing Tyres

I've always been told to buy 4 new tyres in one go, due to the AWD, like the old cossy the gear box would basically explode if one wheel was smaller??

Am I just being a ****

I have two new and two old to possibly fit, is that ok

my understanding is that, as long as you've matched the pairs (i.e. two front are same, two back are same) it's fine - nothing to do with the transmission, just a safety thing - handling can go a bit skewy if you've got different treads/patterns.

I bought a couple of Goodyears off mytyres.co.uk last night - impressive price and service (they've already been on the phone)
