Default Bedding in new brake pads?

I've got some Pagid pads to fit to my 03 WRX this weekend. What is the procedure (if any) to bed them in.

Approx 8-10 stops from 60 to 10 mph using medium pressure like stopping in traffic, with gentle acceleration between.

Do not come to a standstill with pads against disc.

You should at this point be able to smell the pads. The disc should be even in colour (grey or blue) Gradually over next 100 miles or so increase pressure until full power can be used. Enjoy, Daz

I've got pagid blues on my 99 sourced from Alyn AS Performance and his advice was to take it very easy for the first 1000 miles. I have them on for about a year now and am very pleased. Initially I thought they were crap but after they bedded in they have been brilliant. I had mintex 1144 before which were noisy and ate my discs. (I always thought prior to speaking to Alyn that you had to have smoke coming out of the wheel wells to bed brakes in properly it certainly doesn't seem to be the case with the rs4.2.1s)

1000 miles seems a tad excessive. Daz

think you've mis-understood a conversation (or my cr*p translation being 'up north'!!)

first the rs4.2.1 are BLACK and as such need to be bedded like an O.E. pad for 150-200miles........................medium to steady with no ABS type stops.............DO NOT ATTEMPT THE OTHER PROCESS MENTIONED FURTHER ABOVE!!!!!

if you run rs4.2 "blue" or any other competition pad then a more 'aggressive' bedding procedure taking a maximum of 10miles can be employed...............

Sorry lads I stuck an extra 0 in the mileage bit. Bit confused though as to which pads I have now!

Alyn if you read this could you enlighten me the box has
PAGID RS race disc brake pads on the top and the following on the side
RENNSPORTBELAEGE
E 1406 421 10

I thought they were blues but maybe not. Doesn't really matter until I need a new set as I'm very happy with their performance.
