Still cant get on with my scooby.I have on at the moment 225/40/18 pirelli rosso tyres on 18 inch oz alloys.But i can feel every bump through the wheel a guy at a tyre place said its the tyres and says pirellis are rubbish any advice cheers

More than likely down to the fact your tyres are low profile so make won't really make a difference to that. The make really will however affect your roadholding

Haven't tried Pirellis but Goodyear F1s are very soft riding compared with Bridgestones. A good combination with classics I felt - On my '98 classic they were a better ride in 40 profile on 17" than the Bridgestones were in 50 on 16".
On my 03 they're a little too soft if anything! I run them 10% higher pressure to compensate a bit.
Might be worth a try when you need to replace your Pirellis. Or go 17" - but you'll still be on 40 profile on a 17 anyway (thought 18"s needed 35 profile in that size).
