EBC Redstuff Ceramic?
I need to change the pads on my Godspeed 335mm Brembo kit.
Does anyone have any experience of the new EBC Redstuff Ceramic pads?
I'm currently running Ferodo DS2500, which I'm happy with - although I haven't experienced the disc deposits that these can (apparently) be prone to.
TIA

If it's of any help i had to have new pads on my Tek3 MY00 a few months ago so went for the ceramic red stuff on my standard four pots and discs.
As you would expect a very very big improvement over my standards..no other problems to report so far. Very little dust.

My m8 has them fitted all round on his Evo6 - he did Cadwell last month, and had the instructor drive his car around. Said guy found the brakes faded alittle but overall very good - 370bhp and flat out in the hands of an instructor so not bad going, esp. at the price.
Some of the other members on the MLR are having issues with brake squeal, but from experince it all depends on the disc material/pad combination.

I previously used Pagid blues but have EBC red ceramics in at present. Not that impressed to be honest. I don't have the confidence in them like the Pagids. They seem to come in and out of friction, if you know what I mean.

I have these fitted and am very pleased with them (previous pads were DS2500s).
I think it was John Felstead who gave these a very positive review some months ago.
Try a search.

Mark, i run Pagid RS29(yellow) in the front and RS14(grey) in the rear and i wouldnt swap them for any others, even though the Pagid are very expensive. However i feel most people dont wish to spend £350 just for brake pads (the equivelent EBC's are £130 delivered!) hence the reason for my post, that and the fact my car is used alot on track where most guys dont bother.
My g/f is in the process of renewing her brakes and i have recommeded the EBC's to her too

I've decided to give the new redstuff ceramics a go and have ordered them. I'll post my findings once I've fitted and bedded them in.

My experiences of going from pagid 421blues to EBC ceramic...
Pagid had a very good bite, a squeely when cold.
EBC feel woody when cold and are very squeely when hot/cold/braking or not. I think this is down tio the design of the stick on anti squeel shims which must come apart quickly. Very little dust
Price being equal I would go for the pagids, however the ebc are cheaper and I'm happy with them.
