Not sure about specifically for that car, but most opt for Goodyear F1 (GSD3) or Toyo Proxes T1 R/S. I can highly recommend Vredestein UltraC, and I've never had problems with some of the cheaper brands like Falken and Fulda. Even heard positive reports about Nankang with some saying they rate them up there with Toyo's. One I wouldn't recommend is Yokahama 539's, as they're dreadful in damp conditions (like now) and wear very quickly.

Thumbs up

You could try

www.camskill.co.uk

I just got a set of Toyo T1-R for £363. Next day delivery - dead good.

In fact all the prices look fairly good (The new Toyos are fab by the way! Still running them in really, but far more communicative than any of the Bridgestones or Pirellis that I've tried)

Dave.

Cheers I'll have a look.
Are the Toyos as predictable as the Bridgestones in the wet?

A lot of folks seem to rate the Toyo very highly, I can't agree with this. I bought a set for my MY02 UK STI and can honestly say its that last time Toyo's will be anywhere near my car!

OK in the dry, but a bit scarey in the wet.

Stupid tyres.

F1's are pretty good, but they don't last too long though.

I'm told the Michelin Pilot sport2 tyres are very good, but haven't tried them.

Avon ZZ3 are meant to be good also, but as a user of the ZZ1 tyre I'd want a test first.

Shaun

Tried Pilot Sport (not 2s) before and though they were good.

Will try the sport2s when my current ones run out!

The problem with this whole tyre debate is that it very much depends on how the suspension is set up on your car. I've settled on GSD3s as they work really well on mine but the Toyos were terrible, understeering badly with poor grip in the wet. However, others swear by them so in conjunction with the above it will also depend on your driving style meaning it's really down to you to suck it and see.
