car takes a wander!!!
Hi guys I just want some opinions. I have just put a set of 7" x 18" alloys and I am getting alot of tramlining more than I was expecting but watching a car program the other day another acr was doing this on standard wheels.
To fix this the changed the worn bushs in the steering. What I was wondering is if I could have the same fault with my bushes. How do I check for this?

Tyres could be the issue - tyres with a square tread block such as Bridgestone Pot's are guilty for this.. i changed from Bridgestones to Goodyear F1's and it disappeared for me. Not sure what other tyres have this squareness
I also think front/rear toe can change high speed stability and make this worse as well...i think its more toe out means less stable at high speeds ( but better turn in ) and possibly makes tramlining worse.. anyone clarify this more?
Cheers
Rich
