The AP 6-pot 352mm kit won't fit under 17" wheels, you'll need the 18" for definate.

I would have thought it was the callipers as oppossed to the discs though and therefore any AP 6-pot kit will be the same, you need to ring up some specialists and see if they've got the info on this. (Will 4-pot AP's not do the trick???)

Generally if your using your car on track, you'll feel the benefit of the 6-pots over the 4-pots. If not, then the 4-pots will be more than adequate for yours needs on the road and save you the pennies (particulary when it comes to replacement pad time)

But then again you can have the 6-pots if you daft like me on the other hand and don't use you car on track but still want to cure your nightmares about brakes failing .................

He He, well, I don't drive it It's my Hubbies car, but I want to know what we need on it. It doesn't get used on track, he's bad enough on the roads, don't give him any ideas !!

Looks like the 4 pots are the ones we need Ta

The best thing about APR's 6-potters is the bigger 330mm disc - but you can get that with 4-pot calipers and they'll still stop a train

With brakes like these, think about front-rear balance and also consider up-rating your suspension. Call Stockcar for advice.

Question

Whats the chat on Tarox? The caliper looks good, comes in 6pot (or 10) with a selection of disc sizes.

A search on here doesn't seem to come up with too much specifically for the Tarox brake kits.

Strikes me that they you pay AP prices for them but without the reputation.

I've never heard a bad word about APR. Their kit (and make sure it is an official APR kit, rather than a box of APR bits) has stunning performance and durability, pads and new discs etc are readily available, and you can sell it second-hand for good money.

There is some other stuff out there that is probably as good, but nothing better and quite a few worse for the same money.

No brainer, really. Just ask most race teams, from F1 down.

Richard.
