Default RE070 or similar

Considering Spec-C/Clio Cup/CSL/GT3 style tyres, ie the semi-slick road legal type.

What is the breakaway like? What are they like on B-roads, wet, occasional snow?

Recommendations or sources?

Otherwise I'll probably just go for more Eagle F1 GSD3.

I'd not advise them in the snow. they're suprisingly good in the wet (but not greasy). At the end of the day, they're not going to wear well and won't be a great performer in the wet (just average) but in the dry, IMO they're phenominal

Dry roads : Amazing

Wet Roads : Interesting

Icy Roads : Lethal

The RE070's are rock hard and tramline. However the feedback is excellent and the grip is stunning. I had them for a couple of hundred miles on my STi before I went for Toyo Proxes T1-S ans 18's.

You can get Yoko A032-R in 205/50/16, but I doubt you'll get more than 3000 miles out of them

I bought Nathans RE070s.
There great, fantastic in the dry, okay in the wet, definately a summer only tyre. One bend where I was limiting at 100 with F1s I am comfortable at 120+ with the RE070s. You can really lean on them not like thise squirmy F1s and Toyos. Seem progressive at the limit (in the dry) but its a high limit. Not noisy at all (in the leggy) but certainly lively at the wheel - sharp turn-in and tramlining. No problem on B-roads. Too early to judge wear.

Somebody was / is selling a set with wheels for £450 which is a bargain.
