Which Trackday Tyres?

Which Trackday Tyres?
Have been swapping wheels over at trackdays and running slicks. However, because I am lazy, I would prefer to turn up at the track and use the wheels and tyres fitted, plus it will save me time.
I know there are various 'sticky' road / trackday tyres availbale, predominantly for Westies and Caterhams etc, but I am looking to put them on them on the Scoob. I would run them on 16" wheels, the tyres size being 205 / 50 / 16.
What can you suggest?

Go straight away to Kumho tyres. They are based in Bridgenorth, Shropshire. They do a vast range/compounds which last, are sticky, are road legal, and are Cheap.
Any thing else you want from a supplier?
I use them to hill climb on, drive on the road 3000 miles/yr etc.

Thanks for the advice - just what I wanted
Edited to add - if I were to go for the Ecsta, which compound would be best for an average trackday - hard, medium or soft?
Cheers

Running 16's gives you a good choice. You can have soft , medium and hard!
The soft will dissappear after a few laps, medium is good, but i think you will be better off with the hard. The BMW boys blast the tracks on Med and Hard, depends on what life you are willing to trade off for grip!
Ask Kumho, they have all the gen.

Avon?
I've not tried them, but apparently Avon have brought out the ZZR, which is a road-legal sticky tyre.
I was a fan of Yokohama A032R's on my race car, but I think you will end up spending £100 per corner for scoob sizes.

Colway Traxtars
I run Colway Traxtars on my Tavia. They are grippy and so far quite durable (apart from the outside edge on the front nearside wheel ).

Avon
I spoke with Avon direct on the ZZR and they advised me thye have stopped making them at present and have nowhere to forward me on. The production manager told me they are running out 0,000's of the size 15 tyres - assume he means the caterham size track tyres at present.
He has no date for the ZZR restarting up, thus you damage 1 tyre and your shagged for a replacement.
Try here for tyres - have a look at the various types:-
