Good handling on 18teens
#1
I have heard that 18teens reck the handling of impreza's, but P1 have the option of 18 teens.
So if i wanted to lower a two door V6 on 18 teens would it handle like a bag of ****e?

Depends very much on the car.
18" do tend to tramline a lot, wreck the ride quality and are useless in snow. If you can have a ride out in a car with 18" wheels and see for yourself if you like it. It's all down to personal preference.

They only tend to Tramline if they are quite wide.
Mine are 215/35 18 inch and dont have any probs at all
They dont wreck the car at all - they are only 4.6% bigger on rolling radius than my 16 inch alloys - and they are lighter as well! (specially made Speedline Course)

18" are excellent.
Much better turn in, much more responsive and much better road holding.
They do have a harder ride, but I find this fine. Not as hard as I was first expecting. Maybe I'm quite lucky, but we have pretty good roads where I live. However, I was in Bath yesterday (must have the ****ist roads in the country) - if I lived there I would think twice about 35 aspect tyres and 18" wheels. For such a rich city you would think they might do something with the road surfaces. Although I don't surpose they have to worry if everyone drives round in Jags and Mercs with jelly suspension and tyres like balloons. Sorry - I'll get of my soap box now
Got gold GT1-lites with lowered suspension on my Terzo. Looks and handles like the mut's nuts. Piccies available in the gallery ( I started life as a Terzo!!!).
