At last, this kit plus braided hoses and uprated fluid go on today (plus new cambelt etc. big bill!).

Any advice on bedding these in since my last set of discs/pads squealed from day one (they were fitted to the car when I bought it!).

Hi Chris,
I plan to fit the same set up as you have this weekend if my disks arrive.
I guess , take it easy for the first hundred or 2 miles before braking hard ...
Let me know how good the brakes are ??

Cheers Dave..

The change from my 2 pots (and knackered discs/pads) is awesome even given the gentle touch they have had for the first 200 miles. Looks so much better under the MY00 alloys than the old 2 pots as well! Well chuffed basically.

Yes they are ex-P1 but they were removed at delivery by the dealer selling the car to allow the ALCON brake upgrade kit to be fitted so they were unused.

I had all the lines flushed and went for the higher spec fluid, I also had braided hoses on the front. Still being amazed by the improvement, I've never had a car with brakes as effective as these, it's almost as addictive as the acceleration seeing how quick you can slow it down! Just need to watch that rear view mirror carefully!!!
