Red face

Chaps, apart from prodrive pads, my brakes on my MY00 are standard 4pots and discs (17" wheels, btw).

I've read some of the other posts and am still a bit confused, so...

what is the cheapeast way to upgrade my discs (maybe to a larger size) so that my braking power is better than I have now? I can't afford AP/bembo, so what's the alternative and wherefrom?

I think you are doing the right thing in keeping the Scoob, its not worth giving them away.

I'm afraid I do know Dolphin. He has said some nice things about your car, I think he does appreaciate the fact they are extremely quick, but as hes getting on a bit ( age and weight ) and the fact he is a poser, he needs something a bit more lardy with leather armchairs and lots of electric gizmos.

Seeing as I would have to drop the price to less than my finance to actually flog the car, I'm feeling a little bitter about the whole thing. It seems that to save money and buy a more economical car (that I'm happy with ) would cost me more than keeping the scoob.

I've decided to stay happy for at least the next 6 months.

The brakes upgrade issue came about because I test drove a golf tdi and it had better brakes than mine!!

The missus is okay with safety upgrades

Lambo, would you be infamous m8 of a certain 'Flipper' Dolphin?

Try and convince him that our cars aren't complete buckets, eh?!

He did admit that his new 330 wasn't as quick as my car "really?", I said in complete surprise!
