Anyone know if there is any supply problems of the above, in 215/40/17 size at least?
Ordered some from local tyre place, said they'd be in next day.... that was 3 weeks ago..

Krazy... Hope you don't mind me jumping in your thread here re:-Good Year Eagle F1's 215/40/17. Don't know whereabouts you are in the country but here in Southend in Essex, (due to recent enquiries of my own needs), all the places I rang had them on the shelf or next day delivery guarenteed. The interesting thing though was the price, this varied from £137, (all in), down to my favourite, (& where I'll be paying a visit to), £98!!! I'd be interested to know the variations across the country for what is the same tyre on the same(ish) car & the same type of fitting service.

Prices for tyres vary vastly. When I tried the F1's about 2 years ago, I paid £50 per tyre. Now that's a little more than cost, so the suppliers have a large markup (if they are a big enough supplier) OR the supplier doesn't sell many tyres and their cost price is high.

Mytyres seems to be the best online supplier right now.

I'm pretty sure they make the most out of supply problems or our eagerness to buy certain brands/models of tyres. Supply and demand as usual.

Unhappy

Blimey - I've just paid £114 per tyre for Goodyear F1 GSD3 225/40/18!
£172 is taking the p***

I just checked the price for the 18" version - £200 per tyre! (£211 for S03s, £212 for Pzeros). It is worrying that people pay these prices and think they are getting a good deal. How generous of the AA to give a 10% members discount

Chris

Yeah - well worth that AA life membership to take advantage of such great offers from them

Chris - where's the £114 Goodyear price please? (for the 225/40/18's)

Cheers
