Question

I have a set of these tyres on my Import WRX (205/50/16). At first I thought I had a slow puncture on my front nearside until I checked all the tyres to find that they had dropped about 0.8 bar each . I pumped them all up again and did about 120 miles to find the pressure had dropped in all of them again.

Are these tyres known to do this (soft compound rubber maybe?) or are they faulty?

I read somewhere, probably on the sidc FAQ thet some early Imprezas has pourous alloys, which should have been changed at a dealers as part of a recall. How old is your car?

Editted to put in the sidc link

Its a 96/97 WRX Import.

Time to start looking for new 17" Alloys earlier than I expected

Would that puncture repair fluid stuff help?

The SIDC FAQ says the dealers repaired the wheels, so I would presume this was by some sort of paint. Maybe the puncture repair stuff might just work.

Wish I had an excuse as good as that for the wheel upgrade!!!
