my dealer has quoted me £300 all in to paint my my01 wheels gold or anthricite (cant decide) when the car is pdi'd for delivery next week- is £300 about right?

any opinions on colour choice would be cool, cars wr blue

That's what I'm going to do with mine when it arrives.

I've been speaking to an alloy wheel refurbisher who says he'll do it for £40 (approx) per wheel.

I had some done recently for under £30 per wheel. Bead blasted, powder coated, baked in an oven, and then lacquered.

I would shop around, as £300 seems a bit steep to me!

£300 is way to much. £40 a wheel is the going rate.

Yep...30-40 is about right...

Be careful when powder coating... if the alloys are of poor quality you can have problems...

When wheel is baked, the air in the poor casting expands...causing bubbles...some places suggest a 2 pack paint instead of powder coat..

But anyway.. powder is the prefered method... and is the easiest

I just had my 17" Speed lines refurb'd cost £25.00 a wheel that was in gold clean'd blasted any repairs and tyres removed and fitted, your qoute sound a bit on the expensive side !!
