Hi all,
I am looking to replace the OEM Bridgestones, as the tramlining is driving me crazy ...
Does anyone now of a good, affordable place to get either Toyo Proxies or Bridgestone SO2s in the Edinburgh area, or at least within a couple of hours drive.
Also I would like a place that will do secret balancing and I need to get a proper wheel alignment done as well.
BTW, should I get the prodrive geometry settings done. I do 50/50 motorway and backroads, I don't want to wear my new expensive tyres out ...
Thanks,
Andrew.

Hi,
try Costco, A720 dreghorn junction off ring roud. costs £21 to join but you'll get that back (at least) on first tyre.....oh yes fitting/balancing £1 i think but check out to make sure they've got your size first before joining and DON'T TAKE THE WIFE/PARTNER etc. ABE

Thanks Andy / John,
Do either of you have contact numbers for the respective tyre dealers. I can't seem to find either of them in the phone book ...
Thanks,

You might like to try Thistle Tyres on Easter Rd,next to B&Q.They do all our company cars - (Porsche,Audi A4 Quattro,Saab Turbos,MGF etc-I know some people have no idea)and have been consistently good for a number of years.
MY99 Wagon PPP etc

The cheapest SO2 PP's I found were at McConnechy's on Grogie Road (0131 443 6196). They quoted just shy of £100 all in for each wheel.
Let me know if you find them cheaper anywhere

Thanks for the help guys,
I am now seriously considering upgrading to 17" wheels, so I am no longer in the market for replacement 16s.
Andrew.
