Steve from IWOC mentioned there was a thread on possible warranty claims from the sheer adherence of brake dust to the wheel. I dont mind cleaning wheels but I've tried everything and the deposit has the consistancy of matt paint, if it comes off, its in little flakes. Steve mentioned DS3000 pad material whereas they are now using DS2000, anyone got any ideas/info.

Thanks for the tip. What a lot of upset people. Now I know its a problem I'll get the dealer/IM/Prodrive to sort....they've all been good in the past so I'll leave it to them.

I love the car and other than this problem its been grate.

Thanks for the info.

Aaron, do I assume from your reply that warranty claim is not quite as simple as that?

My new brake disks and pads have now arrived at my dealers from Prodrive. I will have them fitted on the 7th. My dealer gave my wheels a good scrubbing with an acidic solution, and they have cleaned up very well. My dealer says if the wheels do not clean up there is no problem replacing them. But my last wheels (Mims17”Scoobysport) that were completely shagged do not come under the Subaru/Prodrive warrantee, as they are not purchased through the Subaru network.
