I know that it has been asked b4 but now there is no search any advice will be gratefully received

New S02's on the car last week (215/40/17) which even thou I am running in feel the dogs bits on handling. Checked the pressure this w/end and 29psi all round. Up'd this to 34 alround, used to run toyos on 35psi! is this ok or do we need less rear? less front & rear? or what?

Having played around for months, I found 36 front 34 rear the best compromise/set-up for my 17" SO2s. Have tried as high as 40 all round, and low as 28!

I found a good balance at 32psi for the fronts and 28/29psi for the rears

I run my Toyo's at 35 front and 33 rear, seems to get even tyre wear and produce good grip.

On my S02-PPs 215/40/17 I've been using 36/34 (front/rear) and it seems to be the best compromise for my driving style.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Gustavo

Pirelli PZeroes on 17" Speedline 7's, 32psi all round. On my car, harder fronts, softer rears makes for more understeer.

What's recommended for track use?

I'll still have 225/45 on 17s at Dono as I don't want to trash the new tyres immediately!

Question

Higher pressures in fronts = less grip at front = (even) more understeer.

Or not?
