Cool

Hi

I am trying to find out if 4 pot calipers will be a straight swap with my 2 pot calipers on my MY97 UK scoob.

I also have MY98 standard Subaru wheels fitted at present. Will I need to change them to fit 4 pots?

Any advice will be much appreciated.

Regards

Hi Steven,

The 4 pot's should fit straight on. I know lot's of people have done this modifcation to their MY97 cars.

The only other problem, as been solved with your MY98 wheels. The MY98 & MY99 are the same wheels. The MY99 have the 4 pots as standard, so no clearance issues.

You'll notice the improvement!

Sorry the standard four pots will fit, but I thought even the AP Racing (Stef for example, had them under his standard 16" wheels) & Brembos (see the

Hi All

Thanks for the reply's.

I seem to have received differing views on whether 4 pots would fit with my standard MY98 16" wheels. Can anyone confirm it as I don't want to change the wheels just yet.

Question

Sorry to hijack your thread, but I have the same question, I am reasonably convinced that the 4 pots will fit straight onto my MY96, I have brand new 16" 6-spoke Subaru Alloys, will the 4 pots fit under them ??

Hi If you are talking about the subaru 4 pots then they will fit under any 16 inch wheel that came as standard on the UK turbo from 98 onwards.

I have also seen both AP and Brembo upgrades fitted under the 98my wheels I think its just a case of getting the kit for 16 inch wheels(not seen any with the 2000my wheels)

PS the Subaru 4 pots are a direct swap for the earlier brakes.I have done this on my MY98.

Andy,

I saw a MY96 down at ScoobySport with the MY2000 wheels, having a Brembo kit fitted.

So I guess if you are having Subaru 4 pots/(certain) AP racing 4 pots/(certain) Brembo 4 pots, then yes they will fit under the standard MY98/99/00 wheels.

Question

Does the swap of the front 2 pots to 4 pots requires brake bias (front & rear) re-balancing?

No, is the answer you are looking for!

On the other topic, I have a my00, with the standard wheels and Brembo brakes, so I for one know that they fit. Just to re-iterate what was said earlier, the standard 4pots will fir under ANY standard Subaru 16" wheels, but not necessarily under Prodrive 16's!
