Good - yes.

Cheap - I paid £140 a pair, so NO, I wouldn't say they were cheap.

Pagid RS4-2.1 for 4 pots. I think they're the black ones, not the blue RS4-2.

not familiar with that compound...
RS42 Blues are excellent pads, blacks are a bit hard for road use.
Would be inclined to go Mintex 1144 or 1155 (fast road-light track use/faster road- heavy track use) rather than fit something I wasn't sure about.

Pagid have 2 very distinct ranges....................a "Fast Road" range that is effectively a mildly uprated O.E. material, as the name suggests simply a bit better than factory!!

then they have the "competition" range, this includes the RS4.2.1 (as mentioned above)..........in order of friction/ temp. ability you have;
RS4.2.1(black) - hi-perf. road,
RS4.2(blue) "gravel" first line competition,
RS4.4(orange) RWD designed application,
RS14(black) hi-temp. "tarmac",
RS15(grey) refinement of 14 - ultimate friction
and an odd number pad RS19(yellow) which actually has less friction than 14&15 but better wear rates aimed at Endurance racing!!

there are HUGE price differences in most applications between a "fast road" pad and one of their "competition" offerings, also not all applications are available in all compounds, i.e. 4pot scooby front pads are only available in the "competition" range starting with RS4.2.1..................

might seem slightly confusing at first glance (not helped by agents who make up their own names for certain applications!!), hope this condensed history helps............

BM - Stockcar's post above answers your question.

You could do a lot worse than give Alyn a call and draw on his expert advice. I understand he's a very helpful chap, and obviously very knowledgable.

I have the Pagid Fast Road Pads on my front 2 pots, which I bought from Camskill. I wouldn't buy them again, decent but not the greatest, but yes they are cheap. Marginal improvement over OEM setup, dunno how long they gonna last but will go for something better like Ferodo ds2500 next time i think.

Thumbs up

I use the "blues" & found them more than adiquate. Dont know what they'll hold up like on a "breakpad eating" trackday, but they are more than fine at the Nurbergring

I've found them not to be the cheapest (but if you want "cheap" buy the OE kit) & last ok for "normal" road use, plus when you need to hit 'em hard, they work.... Can tend to "eat" the discs though, even the matching Pagid ones....

i've had the blues on my car for nearly a year and the only problem I've found is that they do create a lot of brake dust messing up my shiny chromes!!
They stop the car awesomly and didn't get any fade on a (wet) track day at Snetterton

yes, the 4pot pads are "competition" range only...........................
rear "fast road" pads would be okay dependant on your use and driving style..!!
