Question Bedding in process for new brake pads

I am about to fit some new DS2500 pads to my MY99 and have been told no hard braking for the first few hundred miles etc etc...

Can anyone please tell me if there is an actual bedding in process for a new set of front pads ?

Regards

Not too sure, but i always believed that 100 - 150 miles of steady braking was advisable.

Hello,

We have a fairly detailed bedding in procedure documented on our web site at the end of our installation manuals. You can go to the following link and go all the way to the end... pages 19 and 20.

Good luck.

different manufacturers have totally different requirements so make sure you take note of their specific instructions.......................Ferodo normally include a small leaflet, from memory 25-30 short sharp stops at around 50% braking effort is required...............

** do not do any harsh "bedding" procedures if new discs are installed at same time!!
