MY02 brake pads.
Looking for new pads for a bog standard MY02. Don't fancy paying £117+VAT for OEM.
1. What is the minimum material thickness for the front pads?
2. What pads are recommended for fast road use? I used to have Mintex M1144 on the 205 GTi but have not seen these mentioned for the new age Impreza.
3. Can someone give me a summary method for changing the pads. I am mechanically competent and have a good selection of tools. Just need guidance.
TIA

changing pads is fairly easy on the 4pot if you've got a little bit of common sense..............there is a spring clip holding 2x pins across the top of the caliper, simply remove these and it releases the pad!! (obviously you have to take wheel off, support on axle stands, push pistons back, etc..!!)...........
for O.E. dealer money (and less!!) you have a number of much better options incl. Ferodo, Pagid, Mintex, etc..............
any advice,

Any more recommendations?
EBC redstuff £103 at Camskill. Still a bit pricey and TBH unnecessary for me. Don't want any heartstoppers on the motorway.
Alyn - can you mail me some prices. Changing looks v. similar to 205, easy then.
Bartmanuk - camskill do not appear to have Pagid for MY02.
Anyone else got any suggestions?
