Question

Has anyone had any experience with Michelin Pilot Sport tyres?

I did have Michelin Pilot MXX3s, but these have now been replaced with the Michelin Pilot Sport.

I have been given all sorts of advice by garages ranging from "all tyres are the same at that level", "Continental are as good as Michelin but a fraction of the cost", "Pirellis and Dunlops don't last long as they have a soft composition", etc.

Any thoughts/advice would be greatly appreciated...

Unhappy

If they are anything like the standard fit Michelins they squeel in the dry when pushed and snap sharply in the wet. General concensus on this site is to have Bridgestone SO2's, outstanding grip in wet and dry but some say they go sharply when pushed to the *very* limit, Pirelli P Zeros v similar to the SO2's and when it comes to the Toyos the jury is out. Half love'm half hate'm. Personally I would have the SO2's. Had them on my old Cav GSI and understeer was rare, even on the track.

The rest of the makes I would only use on town cars IMO.

If you do a search, there have been some long tyre related threads.

Hope it helps.
