Following on from a thread in the General section about a tyre distributor getting into hot water over sourcing their stock in France...has anyone actually personally bought a set of tyres in France recently?

I tried a few searches using volia.fr etc. for "Pneus vente en ligne" and "Calais" etc. but it didn't really throw up too many interesting sites.

If they are that much cheaper over there then perhaps we can start 'boot'legging them over here ourselves?

I can just imagine trying to squeeze a couple of sets into my four-door and getting stopped at customs..."Are you sure these are for personal consumption, Sir ???"
