Question

Just bought a MY98 with 14,000 on the clock and the dealer has fitted replacement fronts (original Potenzas still on the back) which are Capitol Sport V503 205/50/16's. I can't find anything out about these tyres and until they're run in neither can I use them to the full - apparently they are sold by ATS nation wide and are presumably cheap if the dealer fitted them!
Anybody out there who's used them or could give me any advice?

Terry.
I used some part worn Capitols at Donno one time, and they were OK. I believe they're a budget tyre, but actually part of the Bridgestone group. If not BS, then certainly another large tyreco.

Be very careful with different types of tyres on each axle.

I would imagine that the Capitols aren't as good as the original Potenza RE010s. At least if this is the case you'll get understeer as per the Impreza's natural characteristics (but worse than normal), and not unexpected and serious oversteer as I had when I bought my car and the different (and poorer) tyres were on the rear.
