Thumbs up

I just had them installed yesterday at Scoobysport and they are great. Can't wait to really try them out on the 5. But now I will have one less excuse when people pass me. If someone wants my old 4pots check out the private section.

Question

What's the best price I can expect to pay for Brembos (I've been quoted around 1300 pounds for the Prodrive kit for the front brakes). Are these one and the same?

Cool

Hunter,

the prodrive front brke kit is not a Brembo kit. It is a bespoke kit developed by Prodrive for fitting to the Imprezas, and uses Alcon calipers and disks. The price of the Scoobysport Brembo conversion, and the prodrive kit are very similar (as is the AP conversion by Scoobymania).

All will offer staggering improvements in braking performance over the standard set-up.

If you are asking which are the best, then you'll get up to three different answers depending on who you ask, but you'll be happy with any of them.

Question

JohnS,

Thanks for the reply. Can you tell me who's most knowledgeable to speak to in Scotland regarding potential mods to my Legacy RS?

Thanks,
Brian

Gave my Brembo's a test through the Forest of Dean on Monday night between Ross and Monmouth. AWESOME. Like most people, I cant say they are better than any others (AP, TaroX, Alcon etc..) but I didn't imagine that they would be this good. Donnington will be a better test as November's session with standard 2-pots is still fresh in my mind.

Edited Bit:
Stef: Having the brakes is one thing. Having driving ability is another. Driver training next on the cards.
Dave (Brembo boy NOT feeling brave)
