had my car serviced yesterday and was told that my rear pads and disc's only have about 2000 miles left on them,they're only standard setup on a MY98 uk turbo,so i was thinking of upgrading them a little but don't know much about them,or if its worth doing....any advice appriciated.

Depends what you've got on the front really, the most you need for road use is grooved discs and better pads!

ive got Hi-Spec Billet 6 pots with 310mm grooved disc's on the front,wot you've said is wot i was thinking of,but then the more i look at the standard MY98 rear calipers the more i think they look like crap,they're not even like a proper caliper,would like something that looks better really...

What are the hi-spec 6 pots like bartman -a lot cheaper than ap -have to upgrade sooner rather than later ,have 2 pots at the mo -sti 1

there the nuts m8,no complaints at all...i'm not sure how much the AP kit would cost,but the Hi-Spec version was £1200 for the whole kit,and i did only get the 310mm disc's cause ive only got 16 inch rims on...
