Bridgestone RE040s going cheap
I have a pair of Bridgestone RE040s 205/45 R17 with 7.5mm of tread (almost new). I've just taken them off my Civic Type-R so I could do a full set swap for Toyos.
I am willing to sell the pair for £30 each.
I am in Surrey.
Anyone interested?
These tyres are almost brand new.

Sheepsplitter,
I also have a CTR and will be changing the tyres soon. Have you gone for the Proxes (T1?) if so how do they compare the the Bridgestones?
I am getting increasingly confused as to what to replace the RE040's with.

Initial impression is that they are:-
a) Better in wet (much, even with some release compound on them they are better than the RE0404s)
b) Better ride quality and noise
c) Slightly more roll than RE040's, but only in a back to back comparison would you notice.
d) Lower profile - makes them looker better (rubber band tyres!!), but more prone to rim dings!
I had the Toyos on my Scooby a while ago and I liked them a lot. They don't last a long time, but they are only 2/3 the price of a similar Goodyear/Michelin.
I expect the grip in dry when beded in will exceed the Bridgestones - it's difficult to tell right now because there have been no dry days and the tyres are still very new.
Based on experience so far I would definately recommend the Toyos on the Type-R.

Excellent thanks for the info. How much did you pay per corner?
