Question All those with Bridgestone RE070's please reply

Is it me or do these tyres tramline alot?
My Spec C feels quite nervous when crossing over white lines (considering she is new and so are the tyres) or going across those very slight ruts you get in the road that have been made by heavy trucks.

Cheers!

i have re040 on my sti and they really tramline after 5000 miles-supposedly very common for bridgestones.
i did read in ?jap performance that they were not too good in the wet?

I was driving in heavy rain last night on nice country roads, they are not too bad in the wet but i wouldnt like to push them too far if you know what i mean (similar in grip to my mondeo's tyre in the wet).

Thumbs up

Tony

The RE070 is a great tyre in the dry.

Very interesting in the wet

I think the tramlining is more to do with the suspension setups and 13:1 quick rack we have on the JDM cars.

However I have some new 18" wheels going on next week so I'll let you know how I get on with those.

I did test drive one JDM STi with PFF7's and PZero tyres and it was all over the road.

Nathan..

My spec C is the same, tracking has been checked and is ok. Been told that tramlining is due to the stiff sidewalls and tread design.
However I am to mean to replace them until they are knackered.
Have to agree about the intersting wet weather handling.
