Forged STi Rays (Volk Racing TE-37s) - What they worth?
My car is currently fitted with 7x16" Gold STi Rays, which are basically rebranded Rays Engineering / Volk Racing TE-37. They are forged making them very light (less than 6Kg, about half the weight of 17" P1s) and hence are quite expensive to buy new, but no-one knows what they are!
The car does handle great with them fitted due to the low unsprung weight but I quite fancy putting 18s on even if it does adversely affect the handling cos I'm not the best driver in the world anyway Plus of course there's the pose value
BTW Here are a few pages with info:
Official Uk distributor.
S201 details (these are the original S201 wheels)
Info on Rays Engineering
Basically I want to know if it's worth putting them up for sale, i.e. what kind of price would they fetch? I know they won't be of interest to 95% of Impreza owners cos there are better looking wheels out there but for those who're after handling these are the lightest I know of.
Cheers

I guess no-one has heard of these then or knows any idea of what they're worth?
Are they basically considered to be the same as the bog-standard cast Gold 16s fitted to most classic STis as far as selling them goes? If that's the case let me know cos I'll just hold onto them!

I have heard of them and they are great wheels! I think they would go for about £600-700 with tyres. I do know they are worth at least that....wish i could afford them! Do you know if they would fit under the subaru 4-pot brakes because most buyers would want to know this?
Cheers

Cheers for the reply Stuart, didn't think they would be worth that much! I know they are very expensive new but that doesn't always translate to second-hand prices.
They do fit under 4-pots, that's what my car has.

I know it doesn't but i have seen a similar set go for that kind of money. Of course they will go really fast if you drop the price...say to £200 to me!

Just a quick update, I managed to get a few pics while the weather is decent. I expect many people haven't seen these wheels before so this should enlighten you
I'm swaying back towards keeping them and just replacing the rubber, but if a nice set of gold 17/18" P1s came up at a good price I dare say I'd snap them up.
