Question

Is there an effective way to clean out brake-dust build up from calipers, without removing the wheels etc? Can I use a jetwash / airline / can of brake cleaner without damaging the pads or caliper pins?

I'm asking 'cos a previous car (V40 T4) used to suffer chronically with sticking calipers, caused by dust build-up (soft OE pads).

My alloys (VW Passat Sport) have plenty of space to poke an airline / jetwash nozzle through to get at the calipers.

Thanks, Craig

Stick the hose in there when you wash the car, you'll need to get them dry after though, cos they tend to stick due to being soo wet!!
