Is there an effective way to clean out brake-dust build up from calipers, without removing the wheels etc? Can I use a jetwash / airline / can of brake cleaner without damaging the pads or caliper pins?
I'm asking 'cos a previous car (V40 T4) used to suffer chronically with sticking calipers, caused by dust build-up (soft OE pads). My alloys (VW Passat Sport) have plenty of space to poke an airline / jetwash nozzle through to get at the calipers. Thanks, Craig |
Stick the hose in there when you wash the car, you'll need to get them dry after though, cos they tend to stick due to being soo wet!!
