I recently bought a classic shape scooby, which came with the standard 16" rims. Since then I have been thinking about changing the 16" rims for bigger ones, either 17" or 18" - but what is the general consensus on rims? Is one size better than another? Is it worth changing the rims at all?
Cheers,
Hyphen

I'm in the same situation.
What you need to watch is the offset.
As far as i can tell it must be 48mm+ at least.
I have also heard that the increase in rim to 17/18" improves the overall ride/control.
Would like to hear any other opinions...

I have 17"'s I love um had 18"'s on previous and IMHO I prefer the 17"'s. I found the overall ride and performance better with the 17"'s again im my opinion ( Flame suit on! ) LOL

Very tidy Owl - what size tyres are you running with those?
Also really like the clear indicators down the side and at the front - do you know where I can get my hands on some like that?
Thanks,
hyphen

Hyphen, the tyre is 215/40/ZR17 ( Toyo proxes )The indicators you will probably be able to pick some up from another scooby netter, post a thread in the wanted section. If that fails there are plenty of supliers to have a look at i.e Scooby world, Graham goode racing, Scooby parts to mention a few. Happy shopping mate.
