Just had the Pagid RS421's fitted to my STi8. Very impressed with their ability but they make the loudest squeal at low speeds that I have ever heard!
Have used Ferodo DS2500's before and although they had pad squeal around town it's nowhere as loud as this. Is this normal and is anyone else experiencing this with Pagids??

I've got RS4-2-1 on my STi7 and they've never squealed at all.
Did you keep the anti-squeal backing stuff? The plate with the slots in it if I recall correctly. Did you put some copper slip on the back of the pad? Did you bed them in as recommended?

Had them on my '98 with Brembos. They squealed lots. Tried putting copperslip on the bits that contact pistons/clips but it didn't last for long. Good stoppers though. You have to push them a little hard and they're not immediate or sudden but they most certainly work very well and you'd have to try very very very hard to get them to fade. They also sounded quite abrasive at low speed, but that could be caused by lipping on the disc I guess.

Cheers for comments guys. Yep did all the anti-squeal/copper slip stuff and bedded in by the book so will just have to get used to the noise I guess. Did feel sorry for the lady who was crossing the underground car park today just as I pulled in and braked - I think the squeal nearly gave her a heart attack
Agree about the stopping power - if anything the ABS kicks in too soon to enjoy to their full potential
