Question

When my car went in for its last service i was told that one of the wheel bearings was on its way out and would need replacing.Would this cause the loud vibrating sort of noise that is coming from the car at over 30mph and what sort of problems is it causing? The main question is how much will it cost to replace?, how long or difficult is it to do and is there anything else i should know about it . my cars a my97 4 door gl (like a sport). Any help is much appreciated cheers, James

Change it sooner rather than later.

If the bearing wears too much, then it will damage the hub.

Bearing is not a lot & hub is about £160
