Just to let you all know I have recently purchased 335mm Impreza brake kit with Ferodo DS2500 pads from Ian @Godspeedbrakes.co.uk and attended an Easytrack track day at Oulton Park 13th Aug.
The brakes performed extremely well all day (113 hard track miles) and show no signs of stress. I would reccommend this set up to anyone with a desire for a medium price brake up-grade (£635 inc vat). my car is my99 classic impreza with ppp/handling pack/decat downpipe, nibbling at my03 STI with ppp!! Previous brakes - Padgid discs/pads - I would not recommend for track use as I warped mine first time on track. Many Porches were dispatched throughout the day (one in front of me a total write off - ouch)

I'll second that, I did 145 miles on a trackday two weeks ago, and the brakes were the one constant thing through the day, absolutely amazing, some people reckon that this kit is not as good as the more expensive options, personally, I don't see that there could be much better!!

Question

What size rims do you need for clearance for a set of stoppers like that?

See , its what I've been telling everone for ages We have tried this kit agaist the 330mm AP set and our kit had shorter stopping distances , the discs are bigger , thicker and the pads are much bigger , the only gain of using the different calipers is they are lighter , but for overall performance they cannot be beaten for the price .

You must have the Subaru four pot calipers and at least 17" wheels.

We have a trade stand at the rally car day at castle coombe tomorrow if anyone wants to see them , or wants any advise , I have my rally car there as they want me to take part in the special stage thing they are putting on , so stand well back

Talking

and Ian is the only supplier who will guarentee his discs against warping for a year, even under track use!

I have also recently fitted Godspeed 335 kit to my WRX03 PPP and it has totally transformed the braking from graunching noises and total fade to one of total confidece when i press the middle pedal and it stops with no protest at all.

Usual not conected to Ian in any way just a very happy customer!

Regards

John
