Evening all, I heard a clicking sound from the tyres tonight and on investigation, found a steel rivet lodged in front tyre......bugger! I tried to dislodge it but didn't after hearing the expulsion of air so I left in in until tomorrow.

Tyres have only done about 4000 miles and have about 7/8 mm left on the tread.

At the risk of sounding tight, can I get this replaced or is it a new tyre job, anybody ever had a puncture repaired and if so, where?

Cheers.

Skoosh,

Yeah, get it repaired. Any tyre place can do it for about a tenner. You will never know the difference.

It depends on where the puncture is. If it is too close to the wall, it is illegal to repair it. You will need to go to a tyrefitters for them to look at it. Cost of a puncture repair is around £6 + vat dependant on where you go.
